just checked into the hotel we were staying at after the foo fighters concert tonight, checked the red rocks site and saw this:

FOO FIGHTERS POSTPONED!
In keeping with Dave Grohl's doctor's orders, Foo Fighters have rescheduled their two sold out shows at Morrison CO's Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Originally scheduled for July 14 & 15, the concerts have been rescheduled for September 8 & 9. Tickets for the July 14th show will be honored for the September 8th date, and tickets for the July 15th show will be honored for September 9th. Show times will remain the same. Refunds for each show will be available at the original point of purchase until the new respective dates.

Grohl said, "As much as it kills us to postpone shows, I'm in no shape to deliver the kind of balls-out performances that you guys deserve. We're already looking forward to September when we can make it up to everyone ten times over. It's gonna be great."

cannot even express the upsetness i feel now. don't care what i have to do, i will be here for the september show.

on our way down to the Foo Fighter show, couldn't resist stopping off at Jackass Hill Park

Mounted Whitewater

survived the rapids! sean and i went "swimming" for a bit. pretty spectacular time.

we went with Mountain Whitewater Descents, and they were terrific. definitely recommended if you're looking for some whitewater rafting in the Fort Collins area.

early morning drive to rafting. caleb wins for QOD "few can pull off the ngless look. there's a reason we evolved from apes."

757pm made it to estes park. setup the tent. time to forage for food (at the grocery store in town).

at the denver art museum now. we saw and made art today.

hilarious sign mishap just outside of DIA: U-Haul Self Storage had all but "rage" burnt out.

made it to Denver, now going to get Caleb an iPhone 3g at some mall in Littleton

the Great Foo Fighter adventure begins!

we've all been there before...

Although it's not really that I can txt faster than talk, just that sometimes txting the person next to you allows you to say things in the moment you couldn't otherwise say. The modern day equivalent of the secret whispered in the ear, or the note passed in the back of class.

and, quite appropriately, as we hurry back to the hospital from our quick food run, the danger zone is blastin on the radio

WALL-E

just saw WALL-E. even though it could be seen as a little preachy at
times, i think it is certainly a message that needs to be heard. that
we can't keep building ways for ourselves to do less. that sometimes
you do have to get a little dirty. it won't always be easy, but that
makes it more interesting.

overall, i really enjoyed it. somehow they manage to get a lot more
emotion out of those robots and inanimate objects than in quite a few
other movies i can think of. so i'll in ahead and give it the ol stamp
of approval here and hope others feel the same.

UPDATE: just stumbled upon this, and it says a lot of what i was trying to get at here.
